Foundry Bean Subscription billing supports usage-based scenarios and billing schedule is created based on usage. System automatically creates billing schedule once the usage data is entered. You can have multiple usage items with different usage and price rates.

Usage Based volume pricing

Volume pricing for usage-based subscription is applicable when the price range is based on volume of usage. Price of all units are the same and is set based on the usage for the set price range. Subscription billing automatically finds the price range based on usage and creates the billing schedule.

Usage Based tiered pricing

Here billing depends on the tiered pricing of usage. Pricing range starts from zero and price depends on the volume range times the rate defined in that range. Once the usage is more than the defined range, it goes to the next tier and calculated again. Total price is the summation of all the range amounts.
